Matthew M. "Matt" Meinz, 46, of Carmel, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at his home. Matt was born January 4, 1968, in Champaign, Illinois. He was a graduate of Princeton University.
Matt worked for Eli Lilly and Company since 1990, primarily in pharmaceutical sales. He received frequent recognition during his tenure, including: the Presidents Council Award and numerous peer elected District MVP awards.
Matt was an active member of the Carmel community since relocating from the Boston, Massachusetts area in 2004. He served as treasurer for the Carmel High School Cross Country team and was active in the Carmel Dads' Club as a coach in both baseball and volleyball. Matt also enjoyed working as a public address announcer for NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Indoor and Outdoor National Track & Field Championships.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 2:00 to 6:00pm on Sunday, December 14 at Flanner and Buchanan - Carmel. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 15 at 10:30am also at Flanner and Buchanan - Carmel.
Matt is survived by his wife, Marcy; children, Tyler and Cara Meinz; parents, Marvin and Sandra Meinz; sisters, Heidi Meinz and Kirstin Hawthorne; mother and father-in-law, Richard and Marilyn Green; in-laws, Cindy Reali, Brad Green, Greg Green, and Katherine Flagg; and several wonderful nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Danny's Closet of Hope or the Carmel Dads' Club.
