Matilda Tillie' Ann Mcdivitt

Matilda A. McDivitt passed away in West Lafayette, Indiana on September 6, 2016, at the age of 96.

She was born October 5, 1919 on a farm near the city of Charleston, Illinois. Tillie married Jack McDivitt in 1940 and they have two children, Wesley McDivitt (wife, Linda McDivitt) of Lafayette, Indiana and Patricia McDivitt (husband, Jerry Hopkins) of San Antonio, Texas. She was employed as a manager of the Paul Harris apparel store that was located in the Twin-Aire Shopping Center in Indianapolis.

Tillie is survived by her son and daughter, a granddaughter, Kelley Sanders (husband Chris Sanders) and three great-grandchildren. She was a long time member of Old Bethel Methodist Church in Indianapolis. Tillie is most remembered for her faith, love of family, and devotion to her husband, with whom she was married over 75 years.

Friends may call at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, Indiana from 10 am until 12pm on Monday, September 12, 2016. Services will be held at the funeral home 12 PM Monday with entombment following at Washington Park East Cemetery.
