Masako S. Knight

Masako S. Knight 88 of Avon, Indiana passed away August 16, 2022. She was born in Osaka, Japan on February 7, 1934, to the late Motozo and Mitiziac Shibata. Masako was full of life and had a servant’s heart and enjoyed volunteering at the Seeds of Hope Thrift Store. She loved spending time with her family and was an avid player of most any card game. Masako was loved by so many and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her loving children, Felicia (Kenneth) Higginbotham, Don (Julie) Licht, grandchildren, Richard Nickerson, Jr., Jami (Ryan) Stevenson, Tyler ( Carla) Wood, Alex (Barbara) Shibli, Ammera Shibli, Yoseph Shibli, Rivah (Joshua) Evans, Renah (Sabashtian) Bach, Herschel Licht and great grandchildren, Kohen, Kamhren, Elijah, Isiah, R.J., Emma, Brooklyn, Nehemiah, Abishai, Lamaryia, Jack, Sabashtian, Jr., and her four-legged fur babies, Darcy, Ellie, Blaze, Zula, Lilo, Yuki, Oreo, Steven, Hiro, and Luna. Masako is preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Albert Licht, and George Knight. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at St. Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church 1005 W Main St, Danville, Indiana. She will be entombed at Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana following the mass. The family has requested that any memorial gifts be directed to Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church 126 W. Georgia Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46225 or Seeds of Hope 1425 South Mickley Avenue Indianapolis, Indiana 46241.
