Maryan Kampf Lewis

Maryan Kampf Lewis, 87 passed away at Community Hospital East on Monday, November 12, 2012. Daughter of McKinley Matthias and Laura Spurling Kampf, she was born in Normal, IL on September 22, 1925. She married her husband, LeRoy Lewis on April 16, 1944 in Bloomington, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and two brothers. Maryan was a member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church. She was a 50 year member of Keystone Chapter Eastern Star, a past volunteer at Community Hospital East and was an underwriter for American States Insurance Co. Survivors include her daughter Nedra Bates, son Rod (Jan) Lewis, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Hildegarde Kampf and Velma Kampf and numerous nephews and nieces. She will be greatly missed by all. Services will be held at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 10:00 AM with visitation on Thursday, November 15th from 4-8 PM. There will be an Eastern Star service at 6 PM Thursday evening.
