Mary Kathryn Vogel

   Mary Kathryn Vogel (Boston) age 84, beloved Mother, Grandmama and Great Grandmother slipped away to be with her Lord and Savior, September 22, 2023.  She joins her parents, Esther and Daniel Boston and her husband of over 50 years, Philip Vernon Vogel who preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, a sister, three grandchildren, and one great grandchild.  She was also a proud aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Mary was born on October 1, 1938, grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School.

   Mary, along with her beloved husband enjoyed playing Bridge with friends, cooking, entertaining and spending time with family.  She enjoyed community volunteer work by serving on the Devonshire II & IV Residential Board for many years. Mary was most proud of her work with the Assistance League of Indianapolis assisting with Operation School Bell, which provides new clothes and school supplies to under-served Indianapolis area students. She was active in her church and served on several committees, her favorite being the collection and publication of recipes from the congregation for the annual church cookbook.  

   She was loved and will be greatly missed. Memorial contributions in honor of Mary may be made to the Midwest Food Bank of Indiana, a volunteer driven organization providing food relief to those in need.
