Mary Theresa Rease

Mary Theresa Rease, 74, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014. She was born on August 21, 1939 in Queens, NY to James John and Catherine (Mannion) O'Donnell. Mary was a 1957 graduate of St. Michael's High School in East New York. She met the love of her life, William Rease, and they were married on May 4, 1968. Mary and Bill enjoyed a special trip to Hawaii to celebrate their 25th Wedding Anniversary. Mary loved celebrating Christmas, she also enjoyed cooking and shopping for others. She volunteered countless hours to her daughter's school and St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, where she had been a member since 1968. Mary was known as the peacemaker in the family, and her family was always her primary focus in life. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, William; daughters, Patricia Ann (Joseph) Gillen and Donna Marie (Jeremy Lynn) Gilstrap; grandchildren, Seth Thomas Gillen, Alyssa Kristeen Gilstrap and Jeremy James Gilstrap. Mary is also survived by her siblings, James John O'Donnell, Sister Kathleen Ann O'Donnell and Eileen Patricia Parsons. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Thomas Joseph O'Donnell. Visitation for Mrs. Rease will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 4pm until 8pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday morning, at 9:30am in St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
