Mary Schofield

Mary Jane (Hamilton) Schofield 97, passed away on September 28, 2013. Mary Jane was born to the late Harvey and Marguerite (Baker) Hamilton, on February 21, 1916 in Indianapolis, IN. She graduated from Shortridge High School, and married the love of her life Ralph A. Schofield on September 28, 1941. Mary Jane was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church and the International Order of King's Daughters and Sons. She embraced her role as a den mother while her two sons participated in Cub Scouts. She liked to travel, and had a love for knitting, reading books on her kindle, completing word searches and crossword puzzles. She cherished her two dogs, Maddie and Molly, but her ultimate joy was spending quality time with her family. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband Ralph A. Schofield; brother, William Hamilton, and will be lovingly missed by her children, Joe (Carol) and Bill (Sylvia) Schofield, Janet (Norman) Morehead; grandchildren, Jay (Tonia), Natalie, Andrea, Bill, and Mike (Kathie) Schofield, Ashley Morehead, Hayley (Geoff) Edwards; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Ryan and Evan Schofield, Savanna, Aryauna, Paislee, and Harloe Edwards, and Maddox Seymour. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan – Broad Ripple, with visitation on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Presbyterian Church, or Community Home Health Hospice Program.
