Mary (Toulis) Rowlas 99 of Indianapolis died June 05, 2012. Mary was born February 25, 1913 in Chelsea, MA to Chris and Anastasia (Feris) Toulis. Mary was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Daughters of Penelope and Ladies Philoptochos Society. Mary and her husband owned and operated two restaurants in Marion IN from 1946 through 1964 then she moved to Indianapolis where she worked in the office of Twenty First Amendment from 1966 through 2001. Mary was preceded in death by her husband James D. Rowlas and her son George Rowlas and four sisters and one brother. A family funeral is scheduled for Friday June 8th at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church followed by burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Marion, IN. Mary is survived by her daughter Joan (Nick) Smyrnis and son Andrew Rowlas; granddaughters Jami (Bill) Frehse, Stephani (Sam) Calderon, Julie Rowlas and Holly (John) Pantzer and her great grandchildren Stephanie, Will and Zachary Frahse and Nicholas and Matthew Calderon and Sophia and Eleni Pantzer. The family would like to Thank Dr. Stephen R. Beck and the nurses and staff at Forum at the Crossing Health Care Center for all their care and compassion given to Mary and the family. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Flanner and Buchanan-Broad Ripple are handling arrangements.
