It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary (Indellicati) Pirics, who departed this life on May 25, 2025, at the age of 76 after a courageous and lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio on Valentine's Day in 1949, Mary’s special birthday was often celebrated with a few extra chocolates – a sweet reflection of her warm and loving nature. She lived a life marked by kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family and friends.
Mary is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Robert (Bob) Pirics; her beloved children, John (Vivian) Pirics and Deanna Joy; her loving brother, Joseph Indellicati; her treasured grandchildren, Trevor (Ashley) Pirics and Henry Pirics; her sister-in-law, Norrine (Douglas Seaburn); and her extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Francesca Indellicati, and her brothers, John and Michael Indellicati.
A woman of strong Catholic faith, Mary was a devoted member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Carmel. Her spirituality and commitment to her faith provided a guiding light throughout her life. Mary also was a member of the adult choir at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Throughout her life, Mary was a dedicated caregiver who provided love and support to her parents, siblings, husband, and children. Her selflessness and nurturing spirit were a cornerstone of her family’s strength and comfort. Mary’s love extended beyond her immediate family – upon meeting her, any friend of her children would be welcomed into her home with a warm hug followed by food and conversation in accordance with her Italian heritage.
Her resilience in the face of illness was a testament to her strength. Her grace, even during the most challenging times, served as an inspiration to all who knew her. Known for her compassion, generosity, and quiet strength, Mary made those around her feel seen, loved, and valued through her thoughtful words and actions.
Mary will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A private family service will be held in Cleveland, Ohio to honor Mary.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to The Parkinson’s Foundation or a charity of your choice.
