Mary Marjorie Keefe (Marge), longtime resident of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2018, surrounded by family. Marge was born July 27, 1933 to Ardath and Fay Metier. She attended the University of Iowa where she met and married Robert J. Keefe (Bob), her beloved husband of sixty years, until his death in 2015. Marge’s parents as well as her three brothers, Dick, Ted and Bill preceded Marge in death.
Marge appreciated beauty in all its forms including theater, art, music, and antiques. She was also a golden member of the educational philanthropy PEO, Stansfield Circle, and volunteered at Wheeler Mission. Marge served as Vice President of Tony’s Trailer Service in Indianapolis, owned by Bob, for more than 40 years, and now by her son, Chris Keefe.
Marge is survived by her three children, Kim Stephan (Mark), Chris Keefe (Kristi), and Lisa Keefe Gaitsch (Tom), as well as eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on July 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with calling from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46250. Online condolences may be shared at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
