Mary Margaret Power

Mary M. Power, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away February 19, 2016. She was born in Indianapolis the daughter of George and Esther Melick. She retired from Best Lock Co. in 1995 where she was a supervisor. She was preceded in death by her children, Peggy Diane Brown in 1974 and Fred A. Brown, Jr. in 2000: 2 brothers, Clifford and Edward Melick and 3 sisters, Edna Mullinix, Nancy Conklin and Jean Cordle and her son in law, Bobby Fletcher.

Mary is survived by her husband, David; her daughter, Lois Fletcher; brothers, George Melick and his wife Bea and Roger Melick and his wife Jean; sisters, Sharon Melick and Alice Messersmith; 5 grandchildren, Ronald Baughman, Richard Baughman and his wife Rebecca, Nick Brown, Blake Brown and his wife Amber, and Mitchell Brown. 7 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Kasey, Riley, Rachel, Reagan, Sage and Jude Brown. 2 great great-grandchildren, Isabella and Lainey Baughman.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan-Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home and on Saturday 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
