Mary M Armantrout

Mrs. Mary Margaret Armantrout, 90 years of age, Overland Park, Ks. passed peacefully with her son by her side on June 25th 2014. She was born in Indianapolis to Edward and Jennie Yount. Mary graduated from Broad Ripple High School, where she met what would become the love of her life Joseph Blackford Armantrout. Mary graduated from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing where she received a degree in nursing. She and Joseph married on September 7, 1957 and spent 17 happy years together before his untimely death in 1974. In Mary's earlier years of practicing psychiatric nursing she worked in private practice then later contributed her skills at the Methodist hospital in Indianapolis. Being a devoted wife to her husband she spent many years with Joseph serving her community through their endeavors with the Shriners, Masons, & Wayne township advisory board. Together, they were also actively involved in their church Fairview Presbyterian. Mary is survived by her loving son and Family, Fredrick Edward Armantrout, his wife Laura Ann Armament, Grand Daughter Tarra Maes; Great Grand Children Erikah; Olivia; & Hartley. We will miss Mary's sky blue eyes, her keen sense of understanding others and her desire to help make other peoples lives better. But most of all we will miss being able to love her and having her be a part of our daily lives. Mary spent her last year of life living in Overland Park, Kansas where her family resides. Services for our beloved Mary Margaret will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, July 2nd at Flanner and Buchanan - Carmel with visitation to be held on Monday, June 30th and Tuesday, July 1st. from 4:00 to 8:00. In honor of Mary the family asks that any flower arrangements or gifts please make donations to the Fairview Presbyterian Church.
