Mary Lu Healy

Mary Lu Healy, 86 of Carmel, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Mary Lu was born September 22, 1938 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Walter Henry and Florence Altemeier Sievers. She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from The University of Cincinnati.

 Mary Lu had a dedicated career in nursing, working in nursing administration, education, and ultimately hospice, which she would say was her most rewarding work.

 A private family service will be held at a later date. She will be interred at Crown Hill National Cemetery.

 Mary Lu was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 60 years, Cornelius E. Healy, Jr. She is survived by daughters, Beth (husband, Norm) Campbell and Maureen (husband, Bart) Nielsen; grandchildren, Colleen (husband, Zach) Ormand, Patrick Campbell, Ryan Campbell, Evelyn Nielsen, and Owen Nielsen.
