Died: August 31, 2021 in Franklin, Indiana
Mary Lou was born on September 28, 1919 in Burkesville, Kentucky, one of ten children to the late Robert Oscar Higginbotham and Eura Mae Smith Higginbotham.
After leaving Kentucky, she worked at Stokely where she met her future husband. She married Lee Beckham (deceased) on April 10, 1943. Mary Lou was a homemaker. She was a member of the Wallace Street Evangelical Church for over 60 years. She taught Sunday School and was involved in many other church activities. She was active in the Community Hospital Serving Guild, making “Pinkie Puppets” and puppy pillows for the pediatric unit. Mary Lou enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She leaves behind two daughters, Diane Blincoe of Greenwood and Pamela Bay of Franklin; four grandchildren Kimberly Mitchell (Ricky), Lee Blincoe, Mindy Christian (Chris), and Jamie Bay; great grandchildren Delaney Mitchell, Gracie Mitchell, Cameron Christian, and Lennox Blincoe. Mary Lou is also survived by three of her ten siblings, Cecil Higginbotham, Jessie Crutchfield, and Robert Higginbotham, and numerous nieces and nephews.
