Mary (Godbey) Lewis, 74, of Zionsville, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015. She was born in Connersville, IN and graduated in 1959 from Anderson High School. Mary was a Career Army Wife, and also worked as a Florist at LS Ayres and had worked at Lazarus as well. She was an accomplished Painter. She was a member of the White River Yacht Club, Shadeland Moose Lodge and the Zionsville American Legion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Gene Autry Lewis on January 21, 2014 and by her son in law, Tim Guy.
She is survived by her children, Diane Guy, Greg Lewis (Christy) and Susan Black (Robert Everman). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Meredith England Potter, Sean England (Hope), Courtney Duell (Christopher) and Royce Funk; great-grandchildren, Ava and Jake Potter, Lucas Labrie, Kylie, Dylan Duell, Bentley Funk and Mikayla and James England..
A Celebration of Mary's life will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 18, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville, 105 W. Pine Street, Zionsville, IN 46077. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Wednesday and 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, IN.
