Mary L Riggs

Mary L. Riggs (Hendricks), 96, of Indianapolis, passed away December 22, 2017. She was born on September 3, 1921 in Indianapolis as the daughter of William and Mary (Riley) Hendricks.

Mary worked at Kingan and Co. for many years before she retired. She was a member of Irvington Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by her children, Randall (Terri) Riggs, Mitch (Linda) Riggs, Joe Riggs and Jeff Riggs; grandchildren, Tyra, Randy, Curt, Donny, Ashley and Clarice; great-grandchildren, Shelby, Jonathan, Jacob, Keirsten, Katelin, Wesley, Lainey, Lucy and Zachary; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Riggs; son, William Steven Riggs; parents; and siblings, William Hendricks, Charles Hendricks and Margaret Smith.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 11am until 1pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1pm also at the funeral center. Pastor Michael Smith will be officiating.
