Mary Kathleen Wilham-Hollensbe, 84, of Mt. Vernon, IL., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was born May 30, 1929 in Indianapolis, IN. and graduated with the class of 1947 at Washington High School.
July 1, 1950, she was united in marriage to S.R. Hollensbe at the Second Friends Church in Indianapolis and relocated to Costa Mesa, CA for three years before returning to the Midwest.
Mary Kathleen is survived by three children, Heidi Hollensbe, Dean Hollensbe and wife Mary Jo, Jadie Hollensbe-Titterton and husband Douglas; two grandchildren, Jared Schmidgall and wife Stacy and Chelsea Hollensbe; two sisters, Evelyn Mason and Betty Slinker; one brother, Jimmy Wilham.
She was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Lida Wilham; three brothers, James L. "Jake", Ralph "Doc", and Kenneth Wilham.
For many years Mary Kathleen was an active member of the Second Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Mount Vernon Garden Club and the Recreational Swimming Club and her activities included; cooking, gardening, reading, swimming, boating, volunteering, playing cards/ games and watching football.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 11 in Flanner and Buchanan Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd. with visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
