Indianapolis: Mary Josephine Judkins, 95, passed away peacefully on July 15th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was a wonderful mother, and her sweet nature and calming spirit will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Mary was born on December 18, 1929, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Albert and Margaret (Miller) Hock. After moving to Indiana, she attended St. Philip Neri Grade School and was a proud graduate of St. Mary's Academy.

Mary met Ted, her long-time love, married and dedicated her life to her growing family, and eventually went to work at Indiana National Bank for several years, and then worked for and retired from the State of Indiana’s Insurance Department. Mary’s devotion to her family and her catholic faith was the foundation of her life, while supporting her husband Ted during his long career as an Indianapolis police officer,
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Theodore “Ted” Judkins; her children, Theodore "Chip" Judkins, Maria Judkins, and Pam Foster; and her siblings, Don Hock and Betty Doyle.
