Mary Jo Ann Baker

Mary Jo Ann (Fross, DeLong) Baker, 96, was born December 25, 1926, and died peacefully on April 25, 2023. She was a ’44 graduate of Buffalo, IN, High School and received a BS from IU in 1980. Jo was preceded in death by her husband H. Jack Baker in 2006; parents Leonard R. and Inez A. Fross; siblings D. Jean York, G. June Smith, and Leonard L. Fross; her son-in-law Mel Watrous; and great-granddaughter Rylee Fanning. Jo always said she was blessed with family and is survived by her children Linda Watrous and Dennis (Paula) DeLong. Also surviving are her stepchildren Dr. Robert (Julie) Baker, Michael (Debbie) Baker, Timothy (Beth) Baker, Linda (Steve) Hullett, Daniel (Erin) Baker; 26 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Speedway at 2950 N. High School Rd, with funeral service at 2 p.m. A private burial service will follow later at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
