Mary Jenevieve Thompson, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away February 11, 2012, surrounded by her family. Mary was born in Rardin, IL daughter of Paul and Irene (Tutwiler) Wyeth. Mary worked for the Lawrence Township School Corporation and last worked as a cashier at Hooks/CVS. She had been a member of Lawrence United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Thompson in 1969, a granddaughter, Melanie C. Thompson, and her brother Paul Wyeth, Jr. She is survived by her sons, Richard P. Thompson of Greenfield and Matthew Kelly Thompson and his wife Julianna of Sidney, OH; daughters, Mikki Lynn Gattens and her husband Graham of Penticton, BC and Terri Sue Davis and her husband Eddie of Greensburg, IN; 8 grandchildren, Patricia M. Thompson, Amanda N. Thompson Dodd, Megan I. Thompson, Jacob D. Thompson, Kristin Lynn Gattens, Cameron Gattens, Robert A. Fangmeier, III and Patrick D. Thompson;8 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Jason, Nathan, MaKaylee, Caleb, Jarrett, Caiden and Melanie. Funeral services will be held 10:00am, Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan-10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Burial will be held 2:00 pm CST, Wednesday in Union Cemetery near Rardin, IL. Visitation will be 5-8pm, Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Community East Hospital and Hospice for the Kindness and care shown to Mary and her family.
