Mary A. Hicks

Mary A. Hicks of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on January 7, 2024, at the age of 87. She was born in Moorland, KY, on October 9, 1936, to parents, Elmer and Evelyn (Price) Rothwell. Mary was a Supervisor for General Motors.

 Mary enjoyed crocheting and working on puzzles in her free time. She liked playing a good game of solitaire on the computer. Mary was often time found out in her yard tending to its needs. Most of all she loved to take care of her family and all those close to her.  She will be greatly missed by all.

Mary married Bobby Hicks and they spent 38 wonderful years together, he preceded her in death in 1995. She is survived by children, Gary (Rainy) Benedict, Daniel (Tracy) Hicks, Robert Hicks, Gregory Hicks; grandchildren, Kevin Hicks, Jake Benedict, Jennifer Turner, Robbie Hicks, Taylor Hicks, Courtney; and multiple great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 4pm until 7pm, Thursday, January 18, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN). A Funeral Service will be held at 11am, Friday, January 19, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East. Burial will follow funeral service at Washington Park East Cemetery.
