Mary Evelyn 'Puddie' Hennigar

Mary Evelyn "Puddie" Hennigar, 88, of Indianapolis, left us for her heavenly home on September 26, 2012. She was born on August 31, 1924 in Shelbyville, Illinois to Roy D. and June O. (Nees) Dolen. Evelyn was the beloved mother of 4 daughters, Vicky Paugh, Pam "Cissy" Feiss, Bobbie Kelley and Evelyn "Evie" McKee. She was known as "Grandma Puddie" to her 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Puddie is also survived by her sister, June Hanna and brother, Robert Dolen. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert "Bob" Hennigar; brothers, Roy Don and William Dolen; great-grandson, Andrew Parsley. Evelyn did not like to travel and fought her final journey until she could clearly hear her Lord's voice call her home. Her daughters thank God for the gift of her life and love. Evelyn was a charter member of the Westview Christian Church and her family thanks all of her friends in Christ who graced her life with love, laughter and respect. May she Rest in Peace. A memorial service will be held on October 6, 2012 at 11am at Westview Christian Church, 5925 W. 34th St. Indianapolis, IN, with a period of visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Placement of cremated remains will be in Crown Hill Cemetery at a later date.
