Mary Elizabeth (Gillock) Wright

Mary was born to Scott Gillock and Comile (Davidson) Gillock in Rocky Hill, KY.

She is preceded in death by her husband James Lorton Wright of Becton, KY, and grandson Colton Wayne Wright of Martinsville, IN.

Her surviving sister Violet Fant resides in Glasgow, KY.

Surviving are her children Phil (Katsura) Wright, Rick Wright and Teresa (Thomas) Spindler; grandchildren Phillip (Amy) Wright, Ben (Anna) Wright, Andrew Wright, Emily Spindler, and Amanda Spindler.

Mary’s career started as a seamstress in the pants factory in Glasgow, KY. Upon moving to Indianapolis, IN, she worked for Western and Electric. Mary obtained her cosmetologist license where she then worked at Flanner and Buchanan followed by L.S. Ayres, and May’s Beauty Salon. She owned her own business, The Wright Way Beauty Salon in Plainfield IN. Upon moving to Naples, Florida she owned and operated Naples Park Beauty Salon until her retirement.

Upon retirement, Mary moved to Brownsburg / Avon, IN.

Mary enjoyed time with her grandkids, traveling, spending time at the beach, reading and quilting.
