Mary E. Griffin

Mary E. Griffin 78, of Indianapolis, IN passed away January 24, 2015. She was born on May 20, 1936 in Canalou, Missouri to the late John and Vearnies Tharp. Mary worked as a receptionist for Westminster Retired Village North and retired after many years of services. She loved singing, listening to music and played various instruments, she will be greatly missed. Mary is preceded in death by her husband Wilbur E. Griffin Sr. She is survived by her children; Wilbur E. Griffin Jr., Elisa S. Griffin (Kevin Braun), Sheila V. Griffin, grandchildren; Nathan Griffin, Kathleen, Hannah, Matthew Braun, siblings; Janet (Doyle) Nelson, Lena Adams, Bonnie Vent, Phyllis Griffin, Faye (Harvey) Spencer and Rita (Cleo) Tharp-Johnson. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2014 from 4pm -8pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., where a service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2pm. Burial will take place at Lincoln Memory Gardens.
