Mary Etta Gray
96 of Carmel, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012. Mary was born November 11, 1916 in Indianapolis to the late Dr. Charles J. and Etta Maude Cary McIntyre. She worked in real estate for AHM Graves and FC Tucker, retiring in 1988.
Mary was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and was a former member of Irvington Presbyterian Church. At Second, she was a member of the Caroline Rehm Guild and Sages. She was also a member of the Alpha Epsilon Chapter of Delta Theta Tau Sorority and the Blue Ridge Garden Club.
Mary was passionate about sewing and quilting. She enjoyed gardening and fishing.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon Friday, January 4, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel, where friends may call from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Mary was the widow of John R. Gray, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Geraldine Gray and Judith Ann (husband, Larry) Hutson; grandchildren, Christina Lynn Hutson (husband, Donnie) Stilts and Andrew Ryan Hutson; great grandchildren, Christian Michael and Sebastian Ray Stilts. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Donna M. Mills, Dr. Maurice McIntyre, Elizabeth M. "Betty" Ice and Charles J. McIntyre.
The family would like to thank the doctor, nurses and staff at Maple Park Village for the excellent care they provided Mrs. Gray and her family.
