Mary L. Clevenger

Mary L. Clevenger, née Royer, passed away on June 21, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of 99. Born on March 31, 1927, in Spencer, Indiana. Mary's journey began as the beloved daughter of Orland and Mary Royer, both of whom preceded her in death.

Mary was a strong-willed woman with very traditional values.  After her husband Louis passed away at the age of 91, she took care of her mother until she passed at the age 93.  During her own time, she loved music and art and in her younger days she took singing lessons as she had a beautiful soprano voice.

Mary is survived by her devoted daughter, Lita Templin, and her granddaughter, Alpha Durham, her great-grandchildren, Noah (Rebecca) Durham and Kiana Durham, and her great great granchildren, Rosalyn and Ezra Durham. Mary also leaves behind her brothers, William Royer and Richard Royer, and her nieces and nephews: Carmel (Gary) Dill, LeeAnn (Wes) Wendland, Rebecca (Bryan) Barnett and Jim Royer, and great nephews Michael and David Furr.
