Mary Cain

Mary K. “Katie” Cain, age 64 of Noblesville, Passed away on June 10, 2011 after courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 27, 1946 to Franklin H. and Kathryn (Crooks) Brown in Clinton, Indiana and she grew up in Battle Ground, IN. Katie received her BS at Indiana State University where she met her husband of 42 years, Steve. She later received her MS in education from I.U. Katie was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband Steve Cain, their two children, Angela and husband Eric Adams of Fishers, IN. and Andrew and wife Ashley Cain of Carmel. Their three granddaughters and one grandson: Ellie, Maggie, Mia and Luke Adams. Her sister Carol Bull also survives her. Katie, like her mother and sister, was a lifelong educator having taught for the last 22 years in the Westfield School System as a third grade teacher. Katie was an avid reader and loved beach vacations with her family. Services will be held on Tuesday June 14, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Carmel at 1:00 pm, where friends and family may gather from 11:00 am till time of services. Rev. Craig Parker will be officiating Katie’s service. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Fair Haven Foundation P.O. Box 6396, Fishers, IN 46038
