Mary Ginakes Bisbecos
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family and friends, on May 24, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew. Mary was actively engaged in her community and had a special passion for tending to the needs of children and families in distress. Mary was an avid supporter of numerous charities and was dedicated her work at the Indiana State Dept. of Health crisis call center. As a Board Member of the Evangelistria Chapter of the Ladies' Philoptochos Society at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Mary initiated many programs and was recognized by the Bishop for her contributions. She received her Master's Degree from Butler University and was a life-long student. Calling will be held in Flanner and Buchanan - Broad Ripple from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday May 27, 2013, with a Trisagion Service at 7 p.m. The funeral will be on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at her beloved Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 3500 West 106th Street Carmel at 11 a.m., with one hour of calling prior to the service. Survivors include her son, Peter; daughter-in-law, Marilyn; grandchildren, Andrew and Mark and special friends, Martha Graves, Pat Hittle, and Elaine Voci. The family gives sincere thanks to Marquette Manor, St. Vincent's Hospital & Hospice, Holy Trinity parishioners, and her wonderful New Jersey St. neighbors, her "angels on earth."
