Mary Ann Wiesler

Mary Ann Wiesler, 58 of Indianapolis, died June 14, 2011 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Mary Ann was born December 10, 1952 in Marion, IN to the late Robert A. and Eleanor (Lees) Wiesler. Mary Ann was a Registered Nurse; she received her Bachelor’s degree from IU School of Nursing at IUPUI. Her Registered Nursing career was served at St. Vincent Hospital and most recently with the Corvasc Group in Indianapolis. She was a very active volunteer and gave much of her time to the Little Sisters of the Poor St. Augustine’s Home and Second Helpings Kitchen and Food Pantry. Survivors include her loving husband, John M. Nelson; children, Joe and Lora Nelson; sister, Nancy (husband Jeff) Carson; nieces, Kelly and Beth Carson, and many close cousins. In addition to her parents Mary Ann is preceded in death by her brother, Robert D. Wiesler. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, June 19 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Carmel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2011 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Carmel. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial gifts take the form of donations to St. Augustine’s Home 2345 West 86th Street Indianapolis, IN 46260.
