Mary Alice Rannells

Mary Alice Rannells, 94, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016. She was born on April 18, 1922 in Culver, IN to Hervey A. and Elsie (Woolley) McGowan. Mary was a graduate of Culver High School and worked for a few years at Indiana Bell. She was a dedicated wife and mother and lived a long and happy life. Mary is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. (Steven) Gaunt; grandchildren, Jennifer Hughes and James T. (Rachel) Emery II; great-grandchildren, William H. Hughes, Jr. and JaeLynn Hughes. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Louis H. Rannells; and 2 brothers. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 2pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service, also at the funeral home. Entombment will take place in Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
