Marvin E. Clingman, age 90, of Muncie passed away December 5th, 2014
Marvin organize the Carmel Adult Citizens Center in February of 1991, an organization where adults may play table games. In 1995, The Carmel Lions Club named Marvin their Citizen of the Year, for his service to the Carmel Community.
Marvin served in the U.S. Army during WWII proudly. He later graduated with his degree from Indiana University in 1950. Marvin retired in 1985 from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation where he was a FDIC Bank Examiner. He was a member of Brownsburg Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife Katie Medley Clingman, son Timothy E. Clingman, step children Marilyn Van Hooser and Ted (Liz) Van Hooser. Marvin is also survived by his granddaughter Katie Van Hooser.
Marvin is preceded in death by first wife Anna Clingman, daughter Bonnie L. Clingman Austin, sisters Eltoile McGuire, Darlene Warren, and Phyllis Clingman.
In Lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions in Marvin's honor may be made to American Legion or Elmcroft Staff Christmas Fund.
