Marvin C. Hinton Sr.

Marvin C. Hinton, Sr. 83 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away April 28, 2023. He was born in Wheatcroft, Kentucky August 22, 1939, to the late Henry C. Hinton. Sr. and Sarah E. (Cowen) Hinton Brandt. Marvin worked for General Motors Truck & Bus for over 20 years retiring in 1996. Marvin proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Speedway Masonic Lodge #729, and the VFW Post #1111 in Mooresville, Indiana. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. Marvin was survived by his beloved wife, Carol (Martin) Hinton, his children, Marvin C. Hinton, Jr., James Hinton, Jeffrey B. Hinton, stepchildren, Michelle Emerson, Sherri Manco, Rene Koons, David Brock, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister, Betty Haggard. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, 12:00pm-1:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with the funeral service at 1:00pm. He will be laid to rest at West Ridge Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
