Martha Temple Hudgins Haas

Mrs, Martha Temple (Hudgins) Haas, age 94, of Indianapolis, passed away on May 22, 2011, She worked for Indiana Bell for 45 years, retiring as an Assistant Traffic Engineer in 1981. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, Oasis and the East Side Garden Club. She was of the Presbyterian Faith. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Haas, an Indianapolis Firefighter who was killed in action while serving as an Army Lieutenant in World War II. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Leslie and Viola Hudgins; her brother and sister-in-law, Thomas B. and Mattie J. Hudgins. She is survived by two nephews Thomas (Bonnie) Hudgins and John (Maureen) Hudgins, three great nieces Lisa (Neil) Hudgins-Stringer , Michele (Cory) Whaley, and Sara Hudgins; and two great nephews, Mark T. Hudgins and Michael C. Hudgins. Private funeral services will be held at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center- Washington Park East. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
