Martha J. Mcconnell

Martha J. McConnell Age 92, of Indianapolis, passed away June 22, 2014. She was born January 3, 1922 in McCordsville, IN to the late Jesse and Lenna Trittipo. Survivors include her sons, Marshall L.(Nancy) McConnell, Leslie L.(Carla) McConnell; grandchildren, Michele(Duane) McDevitt, Michael McConnell, Nathan(Julie) McConnell, Matthew McConnell, Jerad(Jennifer) Wheeler, Bradly Wheeler; great grandchildren, Audrey, Kaitlyn, Dakotah, Izzabella; sister-in-law, Mary Trittipo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow McConnell and brother, DeVoe Trittipo. Martha retired from Lawrence Township Schools in 1987 where she was a bus driver for 22 years. She was a member of Fortville Nazarene Church for over 25 years. Other memberships included the Indiana Transportation Museum, Lawrence Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Post 495 Ladies Auxiliary, 8-40 American Legion, and Oaklandon Homemakers Club. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Flanner and Buchanan – Geist, 7855 Cork Road(79th and Sunnyside), Indianapolis, Indiana. Burial to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, June 27, 2014 from 4-8 PM at Flanner and Buchanan – Geist.
