Martha G. (Cook) Ford

Martha G. (Cook)Ford, 81 of Indianapolis, passed away on September 17, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital after a brief illness. She was the mother of two daughters and grandmother on one grandson. Martha was born August 12, 1929 and was known as a loving, strong and hard working woman. Her children Linda Lindberg, Vicki and grandson Jamie knew her as someone who was loving, kind,honest and asked little of others but gave much of herself. Before her marriage to Lawrence Ford she worked for a short time at P.R.Mallory and then spent her life raising her family. She enjoyed cooking and loved animals. Before retiring she worked briefly for Continental Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Ford, her parents Carl and Nellie Cook and one brother, Carl Cook Jr. At her request, no services are planned. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan Washington Park East. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
