Martha E. Jordan Harris

Martha Elizabeth Jordan , 90, passed away peacefully in her son's home August 12, 2011. A longtime resident of Indianapolis, she was born in Crawfordsville, IN on March 1, 1921 to Frank and Carrie Nicely. She graduated from Washington High School in Indianapolis in 1939. Mrs. Harris was employed at Stark and Wetzel for 29 years, retiring in 1983. She also worked at Roselyn Bakery for 5 years and Wal Mart for 2 years. She is survived by her son Jack (Sharon) Jordon of Indianapolis, two grandchildren Melissa (Tim) Mitchell and Michael (Marianne) Jordan, and three great grandchildren; Jordan Mitchell, Joshua Mitchell and Zachary Jordan. She was preceded in death by husband Wilson Jordan and husband Jack Harris, sisters: Betty Hines, Ellen Graphman, and Mary Woods and brothers Edward, Fred and Robert Nicely. A Memorial Service will be held at 12 PM Saturday August 20th at Flanner and Buchanan - Floral Park Funeral Center, with visitation from 11 AM until time of service.
