Marsha Ann Oswalt

Marsha Ann Oswalt, 72, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2026. She was born on August 16, 1954, in Washington, IN, to Paul Wade and Margaret Wade. Marsha graduated salutatorian from Barr-Reeve High School in 1972 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree from University of Evansville in 1976. She started her career as a Registered Nurse and went on to work for Community Hospital for 36 years. Throughout her nursing career, she worked Med Surg, ICU, PCU, Resource Team, Nutrition Support, Coumadin Clinic and Hospice.

Marsha married Jay Oswalt on August 27, 1983 in Beech Grove, IN. The couple had 2 children, Michelle Mascus and Robert Oswalt.

Marsha was best known for being a member of Kappa Kappa Sigma Philanthropic Sorority and volunteering with Community Hospice and St John Catholic Church. She also enjoyed helping with her childrens' school activities, especially being a band camp nurse.

Marsha is survived by her loving husband, Jay Oswalt, daughter, Michelle Mascus and granddaughter, Madison Mascus. Along with her sister, Martha Arvin and five brothers, Jim, Mike, John, Ron and Pat Wade.

Marsha is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Margaret Wade and her beloved son, Robert Oswalt.

A Mass of Christian burial for Marsha will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at Noon at St Barnabas Catholic Church, 8300 Rahke Rd., Indianapolis, 46217, with visitation from 11 am until the time of mass. Entombment to directly follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner Buchanan - Washington Park East.

Memorial donations can be made in Marsha's name to Community Hospice or The National Marfan Foundation.
