Marsha A. -Marty- Atwell

Marsha A. “Marty” Atwell, 73, Noblesville and formerly of Knightstown, passed away August 18, 2017. She was born February 9, 1944, in Indianapolis, the daughter of the late Durwood and Claire (Wuest) McCrocklin. She married Neil “Bud” Atwell on July 11, 1964.

Marty graduated from St. Agnes High School. She was an active member of Wilkinson Church of Christ and served 17 years in the bible study fellowship. She enjoyed playing golf and was passionate about her horses.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Bud Atwell; three children, Thomas Atwell, Debbie (Steven) Goodman, Lisa (Gary) Bedell; four grandchildren, Jessica, Olivia, Heath, and Melissa; and three sisters, Carole Schenck, Sharon Steigerwald and Diane (Jim) Johnson. She was preceded in passing by a brother, Robert McCrocklin.

Memorial services will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 31, 2017, at Wilkinson Church of Christ, 7293 North State Road 109. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park.
