Marlin D. Austin, of 78 of Speedway, Indiana passed away April 1, 2026, at home. He was born October 10, 1947, to the late Ralph and Cora Austin, in Washington, Indiana.
Marlin married his loving wife Betty on August 5,1967 and she survives. He is also survived by his Son, Erik Austin, Daughter-in-law, Rebecca Austin and Granddaughter, Athena Austin of Indianapolis, Indiana. He is also survived by his Brother, Larry Austin (Ann) and his Brother-in-law, Jim Goller (Mary). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Cora Austin and his Sister, Sue Dearing and Brother-in-law Darrell Dearing.
He was Army Veteran. He was a Mechanical Engineer for over 30 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, working in the yard and feedings the birds and squirrels. He enjoyed working crossword puzzles and playing Sudoku. He loved to go hiking on trails at Turkey Run State Park.
A Memorial Serviced will be held on April 25th at 11:00 am at Corner stone Lutheran Church Indy, 2837 E. New York St., Indianapolis, IN.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Indianapolis Zoo, 1200 W. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN 46222 in his name.
