Marlene Joan Bays

Marlene Joan Bays of Indianapolis passed away on February 23, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 82.

She was born March 12, 1939 in Indianapolis to the late Elmer and Ruth Knoepfle.

Marlene retired after a long career with Lane Bryant.  Her hobbies included putting together puzzles, crossword puzzles, silk flower arranging, and attending car shows and riding motorcycles with her husband Earl.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years Earl Bays; son Brian Keith Bays (Sabra); grandchildren Jennifer Bays, Emily Brunning (Andru), and Christopher Bays; great-granddaughter Aven Brunning; and her poodle Sabrina Sue.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Mary Scott.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 28 from 11 AM to 1 PM in Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East with Funeral Services beginning at 1 PM.  She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
