Mark Meyer, 68, of Zionsville, Indiana passed away peacefully at his home with his wife and family by his side on Friday, July 2, 2021. He was born on November 30, 1952 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Carl and Elizabeth Meyer. Mark worked for over 30 years in the telecommunications industry. He enjoyed a successful career with IBM, Verizon and Unified Connection, earning several awards for sales leadership. Mark was incredibly proud of his family and their achievements no matter how great or small. He will always be remembered for his dedication and love for his family, taking great care of his mother and sister after his father’s death. Mark was an avid sports enthusiast. He loved attending the Indy 500 races and cheering on the Colts. He especially loved all the memories created from fishing in Northern Michigan for salmon with a cherished group of friends for over 40 years. Despite the struggles he endured with cancer, he always remained positive and upbeat. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him. Mark is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Anita Meyer and his two sons, Jonathan and Alex (Megan) whom he adored, his mother Elizabeth and his sister Mary Pat. He was preceded in death by his father Carl J. Meyer. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 14598 Oak Ridge Road. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Merciful H.E.L.P.
