Mark Lavon Watkins

Mark L. Watkins, 64, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 17^th, 2021. He was born in Indianapolis to Phyllis and the late Floyd Watkins on September 26^th, 1956. Mark was a humble man who people gravitated towards. He had a calm and peaceful demeanor that everyone loved about him. He loved his grandchildren unconditionally; they were his life. Mark was a man who taught himself to play four instruments and was still learning to play the piano. He studied the Bible every day, memorizing scripture. He is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Watkins. He is survived by his wife Vanessa Watkins, sons Reed and Jerrell Watkins, stepsons, Adam and Luke Smith, mom Phyllis Watkins, and siblings Kerry Watkins (Melinda), Lucinda Price, and Kyle Watkins (Rebecca), grandchildren Alli, Kayleigh, Brooklyn, and Brody Watkins, and six step grandchildren. Services will be entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East. Mark will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery. If you are unable to attend, you may view Mark's service here.
