Mark Lane Keesee

Mark L. Keesee, 67, of Crawfordsville, IN, passed peacefully on February 9, 2022 at IU Methodist Hospital.  He was born on December 12, 1954 in Crawfordsville, to Earnest & Lois Conrad Keesee.  

The family moved to Indianapolis in the late 60’s. Mark graduated from George Washington High School in 1973.  He began working at GM/Allison Transmission in 1974.  He was so excited, when after 43 years,  he was able to retire on April 1, 2017.  He and his wife moved back to Crawfordsville at that time.  He decided he would like to travel so purchased a motorhome.  That was his pride and joy.

Mark also loved, since childhood, collecting and playing guitars.  He was an avid model car enthusiast.  He has built hundreds and won several contests at model car shows for his scratch built models. His other passion was riding motorcycles.  He had a motorcycle most of his life.

In 2014, he reconnected with a high school friend, Thea, and it was instant love.  They were married on January 30, 2016. Mark is survived by his wife, Thea Coryell Keesee, daughter, Marsha Keesee Thomas, daughter-in-law, Heather Keesee, brother, Burt (Connie) Keesee, stepchildren, Glenn Sanders Jr., Greg (Lauren) Sanders, Chris (Christina) Sanders and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and his sister in law Cyle (Pettigrew) Keesee. 

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Earnest & Lois Keesee, son, Curtis Keesee, brother Scott Keesee and half brother, Bradley Keesee.

There will be no graveside service.  The family of Mark would appreciate memories shared with them on the Guestbook.
