Mark David Whitis

Mark David Whitis, 51, of Indianapolis passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014. He was born January 21, 1963 in Fort Hood, Texas to Robert P. and the late Nancy Stoeffler Whitis. Mark was a man of varied interests. He loved things like fishing, sports, and especially his Oakland Raiders. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a hard worker, but above all else, he loved his family, who will miss him dearly. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Becky Lewis Whitis; children Chrissy (Adam Winter) Gregory, Bekki (Rickie) Thompson, and Derrick Gregory; siblings Ron Whitis, Debbie Whitis, Robert "Gunny" (Connie) Whitis, Jr., Jeff (Karo) Whitis, Brian (Kristal) Whitis, Kristi Croddy, and Colleen Mitchell; grandchildren Abby, Lindsay, Thomas, Meghan, Dwayne, and Nicholas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
