Mark A. Kapouralos
Mark Alan Kapouralos, 53, Southlake, TX, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on Holy Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD with his partner Steve and sister Diana by his side. He was born March 17, 1958 in Flint, Michigan to John Christopher and Donna Jean (Jarvis) Kapouralos, who preceded him in death. Mark was a 1976 graduate of Warren Central High School, and earned his BSCE from Purdue University, MBA from IU Kelley School of Business, and JD from Indiana University. His career included engineering and strategic planning with Eli Lilly and Company; marketing, sales, and business development with Motorola, Ameritech, and Nokia; and Sr. Manager, Strategic Alliances/Business Development with nPhase. He is survived by Steve Hilton (Southlake), partner of 23 years; sister Diana (Neal) Gilliatt, of Indianapolis; niece Karla Gilliatt; nephew Kyle (Elise) Gilliatt; great-nephew Landon Gilliatt; uncle Harry Kapouralos (Cortland, OH), and many cousins and friends throughout the world.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, April 30, 2011at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E. 10th St., Indianapolis, IN 46219. A Celebration of Life will follow. Interment will be at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis at a later date. Additional celebrations will occur May 15 in Chicago, and May 21 in Dallas.
