Mark Scott Adamcik, 67, recently died unexpectantly in his home in Lebanon, Indiana.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Mark moved to Fort Wayne when he was nine years old in 1969 following the death of his mother, Marian Olive Adamcik. He was adopted into the loving family of Reid G. and Janet K. Chapman and their five children, Jim, Rosalie, Mark Christopher, Martha and Arthur "Chuck."
He graduated from Paul Harding High School in 1978 and IPFW, now known as Purdue University Fort Wayne, in 1986. While in Fort Wayne, he worked at Fort Wayne National Bank, now PNC, from 1978 until 1988.
In 1988, he moved to Lebanon. He worked at Reynolds and Reynolds, Pearson Education and most recently Menards.
He was a huge fan of Neil Diamond and the Cleveland Guardians. He also attended several Chicago Cubs games at Wrigley Field.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Julia Louise Teskey. He is also survived by his adoptive family, Jim Chapman (Peggy McCarty), Rosalie Hanefeld (Gene Hanefeld), Martha Shull (Linn Shull) and Arthur R. "Chuck" Chapman II (Linda Chapman). Mark Christopher Chapman died in 2009.
Mark Adamcik was also preceded in death by his father, Mike Adamcik; sister, Marcia Stieber; and adoptive parents, Reid and Janet Chapman.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 11 a.m at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
