Mark A. Lents of Indianapolis died December 13, 2019 at the age of 58.

He was born March 2, 1961 in Indianapolis to the late Vernon Lents and Rosalyn (Montgomery) Soendker.  He was a 1980 graduate of Decatur High School. He spent his career as a machinist and inspector.

He loved to hunt, fish and spend time outdoors. He was known for feeding stray cats.  Mark will be remembered as a gentle, kind, and peaceful man who accepted everyone as they were.

He is survived by his mother Rose Soendker (Roger); brothers Gregory Lents (Teri) and Randall Lents (Deidre); nieces Tiffany Lents, Heather Lents, and Holly Richter (Andrew); nephew Thomas Lents; and great-nephew Parker Lee Richter. He was also a loved nephew, cousin and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his father Vernon Lents.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 17 from 2 to 4 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis with Funeral Services beginning at 4 PM.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Indiana Parkinson’s Foundation, 14350 Mundy Dr, Suite 800, Noblesville, IN 46060.
