Marjorie Thieken

Marjorie F Thieken (Boles) 85, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away April 23, 2013. She was born March 29, 1928 to the late Lavern and Margaret Rouck. Marjorie attended Arsenal Technical High School and was a graduate of the class of 1945. She married Nolan Boles. Marjorie worked for F.C. Tucker as the Director of Advertising, and was recognized nationally for her work. She was the first woman to join the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce and was awarded the Key to the City. She later married Louis Thieken. Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Deborah Boles Waterman, brother; Jack Rouck (Martha), four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Nolan preceded her in death, as did her second husband, Louis Thieken. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and two children; Keith and Margaret Boles. Services will be at 1130 at Flanner and Buchanan – Broad Ripple on Friday, April 26. Visitation will be at 1030 until the time of service. Interment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
