Marjorie Norma Gallagher, 90 Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother passed away Thursday May 31st at St Francis Hospital Indianapolis. Marjorie was born in 1921 to Garnet and Victoria Cato in Melbourne Australia. One of five siblings she is survived by sister Olive Saynor, 93 of Australia. She came to the United States as a war bride in 1943. Marjorie worked at Eli Lilly for 33 years and retired in 1982. She enjoyed sewing, shopping and helping others. She is survived by Daughter Vicki (Doug) Purtee, 3 grandchildren, Amy (David) Gillard, Megan (Joe) Espich, and Matthew Purtee. Marjorie also dearly loved her 7 great-grand sons. Quentin, Noah, Elijah, Cameron, Nolan, Jacob and Sam. Also surviving Diane (Chris) Read and Jim(Kathy) Wallace. Marjorie was preceeded in death by a son, Joseph Vincent Gallagher 10 years old. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington St. There will not be a formal service. .Interment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
