Marjorie Jean “Marge” (Gildner) Margraf 74 of Indianapolis died January 19, 2011. Mrs. Margraf was born February 18, 1936 in Elkhart, IN to Charles M. and Bertha C. (Walter) Gildner. Marge earned her BS in elementary education from Indiana University and her master’s degree from IUPUI specializing in Special Education. .Marge was an elementary school teacher in Elkhart Community Schools in Elkhart, IN then Maple Heights Community Schools in Cleveland, Ohio and St. Monica Catholic School here in Indianapolis. Marge was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church and Phi Delta Kappa and Phi Mu. She was preceded in death by her great grandchildren Olivia and Delilah Hixon. Calling will be Monday January 24, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center Washington Park North from 4 PM to 8 PM and a funeral mass will be Tuesday January 25, 2011 at 11 AM in St. Monica Catholic Church 6131 N. Michigan Road Indianapolis, In 46228. Marge is survived by her husband Robert N. Margraf and her children Paul S. (Sodara) Margraf, David C. (Dawona) Margraf, Julie L. (John) Edmond, Mark A. Margraf and her grandchildren Jordan, Morgan, Madison, Macy and Mallory. She is also survived by her siblings Bernice King and Lois Von Krowsky and Gene, Herman, Raymond and Walter Gildner.
